Video to Audio (WAV)

Pulls the sound out of a video and saves it as a WAV file. No upload.

The result is WAV (uncompressed sound), not MP3, so files are large. Only sound formats your browser can read can be extracted.

Channels

FAQ

Why not MP3?

Making MP3 needs an extra encoder loaded into the page, so this tool saves WAV, which the browser can make on its own. If you need MP3, convert the WAV with another program.

Why is the WAV file so big?

WAV stores sound without compression, so it is large, but quality isn't reduced further. Choose Mono to halve the size.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The video is read inside your browser and is never sent or stored anywhere.

It says there's no sound.

Either the video has no audio track or this browser can't read its audio format. Try again in another browser.

Can I extract just part of it?

This tool extracts the whole soundtrack. Trim the video first with Video Trimmer, then use that file.

Does it work with long videos?

Up to 500 MB and 60 minutes. On devices with little memory it may stop sooner; try Mono or a shorter clip.
