A 1 minute 5 second take shows 1:05 on the timer and is saved with a name like voice-20261102-2205-1.webm. Browsers that don't record WebM may save .m4a instead.
FAQ
Are recordings uploaded?
No. Recordings stay in this tab's memory and are never sent or stored anywhere.
Do recordings survive a reload?
No. Reloading or closing the tab erases them, so download the ones you need first.
Can I save as MP3?
No. It saves in a format your browser supports (WebM, M4A or OGG). Most players can open these; convert with another program if you need MP3.
It says the microphone is blocked.
Allow the microphone in the site settings (the lock icon in the address bar) and press Record again. Close any other program using the mic.
How long can I record?
Up to 60 minutes per take and 20 takes. Long takes use a lot of memory, so download as you go.
Can I record other people?
Tell people and get their consent before recording them. This tool only provides the recorder.
