Audio Trimmer
Pick an audio range, add fades and save a WAV.
Output is uncompressed WAV, not MP3, so files can be larger. Only audio this browser can decode can be opened.
Open an audio file and select the part you want on its waveform. Preview it, add fades and save as WAV. Even when the input is MP3, the output is WAV; files stay on this device.
To extract audio from a video first, use Video to Audio (WAV).
How to use
- Choose audio and wait for decoding.
- Set start, end and fades, then preview.
- Make and download the WAV.
Examples
5–12 seconds from a 30-second file
Select 5–12 seconds from a 30-second file to keep 7 seconds. A 0.5-second fade at each end makes a WAV that fades in and out.
FAQ
Does it save MP3?
No. Output is WAV even for MP3 input. No separate MP3 encoder is used.
Which files can I open?
Files your browser can decode, such as MP3, WAV or M4A. Some files may fail depending on the codec, even with the same extension.
Why is the WAV larger than my input?
WAV stores uncompressed audio, so even a trimmed file can be larger than the original.
How do fades work?
The start fades up and the end fades down. Each fade is limited to half the selected duration.
Can I use long files?
File and decoded-audio limits apply, and smaller files may still fail on devices with less memory. Try a shorter file.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. It is decoded and edited in this browser, never sent or stored anywhere.
