This list lives only in this tab and isn't saved.
Point your camera at a QR code, or upload a photo or screenshot, and it reads the text or address inside. A link never opens by itself; you check the address and click to open it.
How to use
- On the Camera tab press Scan with camera, or on the Image tab choose or paste a picture.
- Keep the QR code sharp and fully in view.
- Copy what it read, or for a link check the address and press Open link.
Examples
A QR code on a flyer
Upload a photo of a QR code on a flyer and you get an address like https://example.com/menu. If it starts with http or is just a number (an IP), a warning appears with it, so you can decide whether to open it after checking.
FAQ
Are my camera view or pictures uploaded to a server?
No. The camera view and pictures are processed only on your device and are not saved or sent. What it reads stays in this tab and disappears when you close it.
Does a link open automatically after reading?
No. The address is shown on screen and opens in a new tab only when you press Open link. Addresses that aren't http or https can't be opened here, only copied.
What do the link warnings look at?
It flags a link that isn't https, a numeric address instead of a domain, an xn-- internationalized domain, an @ sign in the address, and a very long address. It doesn't judge a link safe or unsafe; it just points out things to check.
The camera won't start, or the QR code won't read.
Check that you allowed camera access in the browser. A blurry or glary code, or one with no blank margin, is hard to read. Try the Image tab with a photo or screenshot.
Can it read barcodes too?
No. This tool reads QR codes only. To make a barcode, use the barcode generator.
What if a picture has several QR codes?
If your browser supports it, every code found is listed; otherwise only one is read. With several codes, crop to one code at a time and upload again.
