Webcam Test
Your camera's picture, plus the resolution and fps it actually sends.
Resolution and fps are what the browser is receiving right now, which may differ from the camera’s specs.
The preview appears here once the camera starts.
The picture stays on this device; stopping releases the camera.
How to use
- Press "Start camera" and allow access.
- Pick a camera to see the preview.
- Check that the resolution and fps match what you expect.
- Toggle mirroring if you like and press "Snapshot" to save a PNG.
Examples
1080p requested → 1280×720
If you ask for 1080p but see 1280×720 · 30 fps, the camera or connection is currently sending only that.
FAQ
Is my video recorded or uploaded?
No. It's only shown on screen; a snapshot is saved to this device as a PNG only when you press the button.
Why is the resolution lower than the camera's spec?
The browser, system, connection or another app can push it into a lower mode. Try requesting a different resolution and restarting.
Why is the preview mirrored?
The preview is mirrored by default. Turn it off with the toggle; snapshots are saved the way the preview looks at the time.
