What Is My Screen Resolution?
Your screen resolution, real pixels, window size and pixel ratio at a glance.
These are the values your browser reports. Display scaling or zoom can make them differ from your monitor spec, and with several monitors only the one showing this window is measured.
Resize the window or zoom in or out and the values update instantly.
With several monitors, only the one showing this window is measured. Move the window to another monitor to see its values.
How to use
- Open the page and your screen resolution, physical pixels, window size and pixel ratio appear right away.
- Resize the window or zoom and the values update live.
- With several monitors, move the window to each one to check it.
- Press Copy all to take every value at once.
Examples
1920×1080 at 125% scaling
A 1920×1080 screen with Windows scaling at 125% → screen resolution 1536 × 864 · device pixel ratio 1.25 (125%) · physical pixels (estimated) 1920 × 1080 · aspect ratio 16:9.
FAQ
Why doesn't it match my monitor's spec?
With Windows scaling (say 125%), macOS display settings or browser zoom, the browser reports CSS pixels divided by that scale. Physical pixels (estimated) multiplies the resolution by the device pixel ratio, so it matches the spec when the scale is applied exactly. Browsers with strict privacy settings may deliberately report different values.
What is the device pixel ratio (DPR)?
It's how many real screen pixels draw one CSS pixel across. At 2, one CSS pixel uses 2 × 2 = 4 real pixels. It changes with OS scaling and browser zoom.
What's the difference between resolution and viewport?
Resolution is the whole screen; the viewport is the part of the browser window where the page is shown. For responsive layouts, look at the viewport.
What if I have several monitors?
Only the monitor showing this window is measured; move the window and the values switch to that monitor. No permission to read other screens is requested, and nothing is saved or sent.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Phones often have a device pixel ratio above 1, so the screen resolution in CSS pixels is smaller than the physical pixels. Rotate the phone and the orientation and values change.
Can it show the refresh rate (Hz)?
This tool shows resolution-related values only. For an estimated refresh rate and a dead-pixel check, use the monitor test.
