Spin the Wheel
Put the choices on the wheel and let it decide.
Use this when the spin itself is the point. To draw several names from a list at once: Random Picker
The slice is drawn with crypto.getRandomValues before the wheel moves, so the animation cannot change it.
Everything happens on this device.
How to use
- Type the options, one per line — two to a hundred of them.
- Press Spin, or the space bar. The wheel stops on the slice that was drawn.
- Turn on "remove the winner" to keep spinning down a list.
Examples
Lunch, settled
Six places on the wheel, one spin, no more "anything is fine".
Who goes first
Names on the wheel, remove the winner, spin again — that gives you an order rather than one pick.
A draw in front of people
The wheel is for when the drawing itself has to be watched. To pull several names at once from a list, the picker is quicker. Random Picker
A hundred slices
Long lists still work; the labels are shortened on the wheel and the full text appears in the result.
FAQ
Is it really random?
Yes. A cryptographic random number picks the slice first; nothing is predetermined.
How is this different from the random picker?
Use the wheel for a visual spin; use the random picker to draw several names at once.
Are my options saved?
