Blur Image
Softly blur a whole photo or its background and save it as PNG or JPG.

Examples
A 4000×3000 photo · blur strength 10 · edge softness 5
On a 4000×3000 photo, blur strength 10 blurs by about 30 pixels (1% of the 3000-pixel short side), and edge softness 5 fades each area out over 150 pixels.
FAQ
How is this different from the Image Mosaic & Blur Tool?
The mosaic tool is for hiding faces or numbers so they can't be read. This tool is for softening a whole photo or its background, so to hide something, use mosaic or a black box instead.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It's processed inside your browser and never sent or stored anywhere.
Can I blur just the background?
Yes. Choose 'Everything except selected areas' and drag over the parts to keep sharp. It doesn't detect outlines automatically, so use the boxes and edge softness to fit.
Can a blurred photo be made sharp again?
The saved file is blurred and can't be undone. Your original file isn't changed, so start again from it.
How is blur strength measured?
It's a share of the image's short side, so it looks similar at any size. Strength 10 is about 1% of the short side.
PNG or JPG?
Save transparent PNGs as PNG to keep transparency. For ordinary photos JPG is lighter; JPG saves transparent areas as white.
