Reorder PDF Pages

Drag pages into a new order and save the PDF in that order.

Pages are copied as they are, not redrawn. Document-level features such as bookmarks and form fields may not carry over.

Choose a PDF and the page cards will appear here.

Change only the order of a PDF's pages and save a new PDF. Drag a page card where you want it, or use the buttons on each card to move it one step at a time. Nothing is merged or removed; only the order changes.

How to use

  1. Choose a PDF.
  2. Drag page cards, or use the buttons, to move them where you want. If you scanned in reverse, press Reverse order.
  3. Press Apply order and download.

Examples

Page 3 to the start → 3, 1, 2

In a 3-page PDF, move page 3 to the start and the new order is 3, 1, 2. If you scanned 8 pages from the back, one press of Reverse order turns 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 into 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.

FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is read only in this browser and the new PDF is made on your device. Nothing is saved or sent.

How is this different from merging, splitting or deleting pages?

This tool only changes the page order. To join files use the PDF merge tool, to pull out some pages use PDF split, and to remove pages use PDF delete pages.

Can I reorder on a phone or with the keyboard?

Yes. Use the First, Earlier, Later and Last buttons on each card to move a page step by step; they work with Tab and Enter on a keyboard too. To drag, grab the handle on the card.

Does it work on a password-protected PDF?

No. A password-protected PDF can't be opened here. Try again with a copy that isn't protected.

Does reordering change the quality or text?

Pages are copied as they are, not redrawn, so text and images stay the same. Document-level features such as bookmarks and form fields may not carry over.

What if there are many pages, or a thumbnail doesn't show?

Up to 300 pages are supported. Thumbnails are drawn one at a time as they come into view, which can take a moment; a page that can't be drawn shows only its number and can still be moved.
