Before listing something for sale
A photo of a lamp taken in your living room usually carries your home coordinates. Clean it here and the picture is unchanged — only the location is gone.
Sharing photos of your kids
Messaging apps strip EXIF when they compress, but originals sent by email, cloud link or “send as file” keep it. Clean the originals first.
Product photos for a shop or blog
Drop fifty photos, download one ZIP. Nothing is re-compressed, so file size and quality stay where they were.

FAQ
What exactly is removed?
EXIF (camera, lens, exposure, timestamp, GPS), XMP, IPTC, JPEG comments and PNG text chunks. The image data itself is copied unchanged.
Does the quality drop?
No. The file is not re-encoded — the metadata blocks are cut out and the pixel data is copied byte for byte.
Why does a photo come out rotated?
Rotation lives in the EXIF Orientation tag. The option to keep it is on by default, which writes back a one-tag EXIF block with nothing else in it. Turn it off and portrait shots may display sideways.
Why keep the ICC profile?
It describes colours, not you. Removing it can shift colours in some photos, so it is kept by default. Untick the option if you want it gone too.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser and the cleaned files are generated there as well. It works offline.
Does it handle HEIC from an iPhone?
Not yet. Set the iPhone camera to “Most Compatible” or export as JPG first, then drop the JPG here.
Do screenshots contain location data?
Usually not. Coordinates are written by the camera app at capture time; screenshots and photos received through messengers are mostly clean already. Dropping one here tells you in a second.
