How to use

  1. Click a character to copy it. The button confirms, then you paste as usual.
  2. Search by name — dash, arrow, celsius — or paste a character to find what it is called.
  3. If the clipboard is blocked, the character is selected for you instead — Ctrl+C then copies it.

Examples

A middle dot between words

Korean typography uses · between paired words, where English would use a slash or a comma. It is not a full stop and not a bullet.

Curly quotes in a document

An editor that does not auto-correct leaves you with straight quotes. Copy “ and ” and the paragraph stops looking like code.

Numbering a list in a form field

A plain text field has no list formatting, so ① ② ③ do the job and survive copy-paste into anything.

Faces and kaomoji

FAQ

Why not list every Unicode character?

Because a wall of two thousand glyphs is harder to use than thirty you can find. This page holds the marks that come up in real documents, grouped and searchable.

Copying does not work in my browser

Clipboard access needs a user gesture and a secure page; if it is blocked the character is selected for you instead, so Ctrl+C still works.

Will the character survive in Word, Excel or a form?

These are standard Unicode characters, so yes in anything modern. Very old systems that still use EUC-KR can mangle a few — the em dash and the fullwidth space are the usual casualties.

What is the difference between an em dash and an en dash?

The em dash — is as wide as the letter M and breaks a sentence. The en dash – is narrower and joins a range, like 1–5. The hyphen is shorter than both.

Is this a bullet or a middle dot?

The bullet • sits at the front of a list item. The middle dot · goes between words. They look similar and are not interchangeable.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The list is part of the page and the copying happens in your browser.
